Who We Are

University Health and Wellness Services (UHWS) is a health-care partnership between CNU and Riverside Healthcare Systems, one of the largest health-care systems in the region. UHWS, through a contractual arrangement with Riverside, offers many services to support healthy living and self-responsibility for health. Its main objective supports the CNU mission of education of mind, body and soul through teaching students how to access medical resources, to know their rights and responsibilities as patients, and to become informed medical consumers.

UHWS is a nurse-managed facility with Riverside Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Riverside Family Practice resident physicians providing on site services. The nurses follow standing medical policies and orders from an offsite Riverside physician.

Our Mission

University Health and Wellness Services (UHWS) directly supports the academic, personal success and well-being of students and the CNU community by fostering awareness, attitudes and behaviors conducive to learning and healthy living. We support individuals in their educational and personal quests to explore and make positive choices to lead meaningful, healthy lives. Moreover, our services enhance the University's climate for learning and support student retention.
