Services Provided:
physical exams, well-baby checkups, general health screenings, specialty referrals, employability classes, fitness programs, and individual and group counseling. PICH will provide Pediatric Services on Monday and Friday.

Directions: (approx. ½ hour from AAN) From AAN, take Jefferson all the way down to 31st (approximately 17 miles). Take a left at 31st. There will be a Burger King. The street will come to an end, turn left on Wickham Ave. -- building on left.

Who Can Be Treated At The Clinic?

  1. Residents of Gloucester/Mathews whose income is at or below
    poverty level
  2. Individuals or families, if they have no health insurance

To Be Treated:
During the first visit, a volunteer will establish eligibility for treatment.

  1. Call for an appointment before 10am on any clinic day.
  2. Bring proof of income, such as current income tax return or
    pay stub.

Services Provided:
general medical (doctor will see patients on non-emergency basis), pharmacy (offers medication prescribed during clinic hours only), physicals (only work-related physicals given - no school physicals), health education (patients may receive materials related to their health problems, and referrals (patients will be referred to participating specialist as needed)

Services NOT Provided:
well-baby checkups, prenatal care, immunizations, dental services, surgeries, eyeglasses, drug testing, and pregnancy testing

Directions:
Get on Jefferson Ave. going north towards Williamsburg. Pass Ft. Eustis Blvd. Pass Newport News Park on the right.
At a light, make a right onto 238. Go about 2 miles. On the right side, there is a redbrick post office and "Brown's Park" sign. Turn right, and go to the Community Center. If you need more information, call Mrs. Lackey at home (887-5271 8am - 8pm only).
